ACID WITH ALKALI: ONLINE IGCSE CHEMISTRY CLASS

A universal indicator is used to measure the PH of given acid or base. There are many indicators used to measure the acidity of a solution. Among the indicators are

1. Methyl Orange
2. PH Meter
3. Universal indicator
4. Litmus Paper.

Universal indicator

Red shows that the solution is acidic while Violet or indigo shows the solution is alkali.  The colour chart typically shows a range of colours from red to purple, with each colour corresponding to a different pH value.

Titration (Neutralisation process given unknown concentration )
Titration is a laboratory technique used to determine the concentration of a solution by adding a solution of known concentration until a reaction between the two is complete. This process typically involves neutralisation. It can also be used to determine the concentration of other substances, such as oxidizing or reducing agents.
